Gof’s 50th birthday Zombie Cake. Baked and decorated by Joan of Hackney.
After a 20 minute journey at 150F they emerged from their spaceoven.
Emiting a hot blast of ginger, vanilla and biscuit as the door opened, the occupants emerged transported by a flat metal sheet. After a short while getting acclimatized to our atmosphere they boarded a saucer. Slowly they began to dematerialize as they circled around the room a few times, leaving only crumbs as any evidence of their visit.
Located just outside the town of Nerja in Malaga, Spain. Discovered in 1959 and contains the largest known stalagmite standing at 32 metres tall. 1259 inches.
The cave system itself stretches almost 5km and often hosts live classical music concerts as well as traditional Spanish music.
In April this year i visited the Orkney Islands. One of the things that impressed me was the variety of rocks and stones strewn across the coastline. The colours and the sea worn shapes etched into them kept me enthralled for hours at a time.
One of the projects i am working on right now is inspired by the coastal walks i took and i have been using a number of my photographs as reference material.
